On April 7, 2018, the Canal Olympia Complex in Douala, Cameroon, hosted the grand FADAM Gala Night, bringing together thousands of spectators in a festive and popular atmosphere. Following the magic of the Opening Ceremony in Yaoundé, this evening confirmed the scale and human impact of FADAM.

A new step on the road to FADAM
Less than 24 hours after the first Night in Yaoundé, the FADAM teams set off for Douala to offer another spectacular show. In Cameroon's economic capital, the excitement was palpable: more than 2,000 spectators, including a large Chinese community , gathered to witness this historic moment, a symbol of unity between peoples and cultures.
An evening dedicated to brotherhood
The ceremony was held in the presence of His Excellency Mr. Samuel Ivaha Diboua , Governor of the Littoral region, and His Excellency Mr. Wei Wenhua , Ambassador of China to Cameroon, who warmly welcomed the FADAM initiative and its message of peace.
The President-Founder of the festival, Master Dominique Saatenang , recalled in his speech that FADAM's mission was to build bridges between continents through the universal values of martial arts: discipline, respect, solidarity and self-improvement.
When martial arts become a universal language
As in Yaoundé, the Canal Olympia stage hosted an impressive parade of delegations from Africa, Europe and Asia , before giving way to spectacular demonstrations:
Krav Maga (France)
Jeet Kune Do, Wushu and Nanbudo (Cameroon, Littoral)
Self-defense (Croatia)
Aikido (Cameroon)
Shaolin Black and White (France / China / Cameroon)
And of course, the Shaolin Temple Monks , true living legends, whose elite performance once again amazed the audience.
Each performance was a celebration of the body, mastery, and transmission — as much as a tribute to the richness and diversity of the martial world.
The audience in communion with the artists
In Douala, the FADAM took on an even more popular and vibrant dimension. The public, occupying the entire space of the Canal Olympia esplanade, was on its feet to applaud the athletes who came from all walks of life.
The shouts of encouragement, the impromptu dances, the waved flags: everything testified to the shared joy of experiencing this historic moment.

Awards and official recognition
At the close of the evening, the Governor of the Littoral received the FADAM honour roll from Master Saatenang, in gratitude for Cameroon's support of this unprecedented event.
Recognition and participation awards were also presented to delegations and artists, acknowledging their commitment and contribution to the success of the festival.
A symbol of Cameroonian and global unity
The FADAM Night in Douala made a lasting impression on both participants and the public: a moment where borders disappear, where strength and art become messages of peace.
This evening confirmed FADAM's mission to be a bridge between peoples , a meeting place between tradition and modernity, between the cultures of Africa, Asia and Europe.
