About FADAM

Discover the inspiring story of FADAM, from an African dream to a global movement for peace through martial arts

Our Founding History

FADAM was born from a revelation during the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, where Master Dominique Saatenang recognized the power of the Games to showcase cultural heritage. Noting the absence of martial arts from this global event, he envisioned creating an event that would honor these ancient traditions.

What began as the "African Martial Arts Festival" in 2017 has grown into a global federation linking more than 100 countries, supported by international partners such as UNESCO and CONFEJES, and personalities like Jackie Chan and Jean-Claude Van Damme.
